为鼓励学生积极参加学术会议，展示研究成果，拓展学术视野，北美华人健康协会（CNIW）特设立“CNIW旅行奖学金（CNIW Travel Award）”，用于支持相关学术交流活动。现将2025年度奖学金申请事项公告如下：
一、宗旨
本奖学金旨在资助和鼓励学生参与国内外学术会议或相关学术活动，提升学术交流能力，促进学生的学术成长与国际合作。
二、申请对象
凡与 CNIW 协会有合作关系的青年学子均可提出申请。合作关系包括志愿者、学生理事、夏令营助教或学员、暑期项目参与者，以及研究团队的学生、研究助理和教学助理，或与协会建立的其他合作形式。申请人需已获得学术会议的正式录取或邀请，参与形式可以是口头报告、海报展示或其他学术交流方式。
三、奖项设置
本年度奖学金设2个名额，每一名额资助金额最高为500加元，获奖者同时将获颁荣誉证书。
四、申请方式
申请人需提交以下材料：
- 《CNIW旅行奖学金申请表》（见下方附件）
- 个人简历（CV）
- 研究摘要或项目简介及会议录取通知
- 一页以内个人陈述（简要说明研究课题和核心内容；参会形式；希望在会议中重点获取的反馈或关注的问题）
请将上述完整材料于评选截止日期2025年8月31日前发送至 info@cniw.org，邮件标题注明“旅行奖学金申请-姓名”。
五、评审与结果公布
协会将组织评审委员会，秉持公平、公正、公开原则，对申请人进行综合评定。在评审过程中，委员会将综合考虑研究内容的学术价值与创新性、申请人在项目中的贡献、会议的学术水平与影响力、申请人的发展潜力，以及与 CNIW 的合作关系和贡献。优先支持参加业内认可度高、学术影响力大的会议，并能代表 CNIW 展示研究成果的申请人。评审结果将在协会官网及其它官方渠道统一公布。
六、其他说明
- 申请人需保证提交材料真实有效，如有虚假，将取消资格；
- 资助款项仅限会议相关支出，剩余款项须退回协会；
- 本公告最终解释权归北美华人健康协会所有。
2025 CNIW Travel Award – Call for Applications
CNIW invites applications for the 2025 CNIW Travel Award, established to encourage students to take part in academic conferences, share their research, and expand their scholarly horizons. The award provides financial support to facilitate meaningful academic exchange.
1. Purpose
The Travel Award is designed to assist students in attending domestic and international academic conferences or related scholarly activities. It aims to enhance academic exchange skills, foster professional growth, and promote international collaboration.
2. Eligibility
Applicants must be students who have an established collaboration with CNIW. Eligible collaborations include, but are not limited to:
- Volunteers
- Student board members
- Summer camp teaching assistants or participants
- Summer program participants
- Members of research teams, research assistants, or teaching assistants
Applicants must also have received official acceptance or an invitation to an academic conference or related scholarly activities. Eligible forms of participation include oral presentations, poster sessions, or other recognized formats of academic exchange.
3. Support Provided
Two awards will be granted in 2025. Each award provides up to CAD 500 in funding. Awardees will also receive a certificate of recognition.
4. Submission Requirements
Applicants are required to submit the following documents:
- Completed CNIW Travel Award Application Form
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Research abstract or project summary along with proof of conference acceptance
- A personal statement (maximum one page) that briefly outlines:
- The research topic and core content
- The form of participation at the conference
- The feedback or issues the applicant particularly hopes to explore
All application materials must be submitted by email to info@cniw.org by August 31, 2025. The subject line should read: “2025 Travel Award Application – Applicant’s Name”.
5. Evaluation & Notification
Applications will be reviewed by a selection committee under the principles of fairness, impartiality, and transparency. Evaluation will be based on:
- The academic value and innovativeness of the research
- The applicant’s contribution to the project
- The academic quality and influence of the conference
- The applicant’s development potential
- The applicant’s collaboration with and contributions to CNIW
Priority will be given to applicants attending highly recognized and influential conferences, and to those who can represent CNIW by showcasing their research achievements. The selection results will be published on the association’s official website and disseminated through its social media channels.
6. Additional Notes
- Applicants are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and authenticity of all submitted documents. Any falsification will result in disqualification.
- Award funds are strictly limited to expenses related to the approved conference. Remaining funds must be returned to CNIW.
- CNIW reserves the final right of interpretation for this call.
