The Centre for New Immigrant Well-Being (CNIW) is a community-based, not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the health and well-being of immigrants in Canada, with a strong focus on research, knowledge translation, community engagement, and culturally responsive programs. Since its establishment, CNIW has worked closely with academic institutions, healthcare professionals, community partners, and volunteers to promote equity, inclusion, and evidence-informed public health practice.

The CNIW Foundation is a federally registered charitable organization that supports CNIW’s mission through fundraising, grant development, and philanthropic initiatives, helping to sustain and expand CNIW’s impact in immigrant communities.

To support our continued growth and governance needs, CNIW is now inviting applications for new Board and Foundation Board members. All positions are voluntary and unpaid.


Available Positions

We are recruiting for the following roles:

1. CNIW Student Board Members

  • Up to 5 new positions
  • Open to motivated students who are interested in community engagement, public health, research, policy, or nonprofit leadership

2. CNIW Regular Board Members

  • Up to 3 new positions
  • Open to individuals with experience or interest in governance, community service, health, research, education, or related fields

3. CNIW Foundation Board Members

  • Up to 3 positions
  • Open to individuals with experience or strong interest in fundraising, philanthropy, nonprofit governance, finance, or community leadership
