The 2025 Canadian Cancer Research Conference (CCRC) was held in Calgary from November 1-4.

CNIW Students Showcase Cancer-Research Work at Canadian Cancer Research Conference-Centre for New Immigrant Well-Being (CNIW)

The biennial Canadian Cancer Research Conference (CCRC) is organized by the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer under the direction of the Canadian Cancer Research Alliance (CCRA). As a flagship event with over over 1,000 attendees including healthcare providers, scientists, trainees, and patient/community representatives. for Canada’s cancer-research community, the CCRC brings together researchers, clinicians, policymakers, and patient partners to share the latest scientific advances and foster collaboration.

This year, Ms. Theresa Vo, a PhD candidate at Memorial University and a student board member of CNIW, along with Eric Lu, a CNIW Health Research Summer Camp participant, presented their research findings at the conference. Their poster presentations focused on cancer screening and were very well received by attendees.
