Dr. Qianghua (Steven) Zhou-Centre for New Immigrant Well-Being (CNIW)

Qianghua (Steven) Zhou, MD, FRCPC is a staff hematopathologist at North York General Hospital, with clinical training and professional experience in both Canada and China. His work spans diagnostic practice, clinical research, and quality improvement, with a strong focus on evidence-based care and health system impact.

Dr. Zhou has contributed to multi-institutional hematology research and brings expertise in research ethics, data governance, and program evaluation. These experiences support effective knowledge translation, grant development, and outcome measurement for community-based health initiatives.

He maintains active ties to academic medicine through trainee supervision and mentorship, and is committed to fostering engagement among students and clinicians. His academic and professional networks support collaboration with hospitals and universities, as well as opportunities for trainee development and knowledge exchange.

In addition to his clinical and academic roles, Dr. Zhou has led large volunteer networks and alumni organizations, developing strong experience in governance, stakeholder engagement, and event-based fundraising.
