Kelly Liu

Ph.D. Student | Researcher | Advocate for Immigrant Well-Being

Kelly Liu graduated from the University of Toronto in 2023, earning a degree in Life Sciences with a focus on Molecular Biology and Immunology. Currently, she is pursuing a Ph.D. at Peking University, where her research explores cutting-edge developments in molecular and cellular biology.

Throughout her academic journey, Kelly has demonstrated exceptional leadership and commitment to community service. As a former board director of the Centre for New Immigrant Well-Being (CNIW), she contributed to initiatives aimed at empowering immigrant communities. During her time at the University of Toronto, Kelly served as the First-Year Representative for the Molecular Biology & Immunology Students Association (MIMSA) and played an active role in fostering a collaborative academic environment.

Outside of her academic pursuits, Kelly is passionate about sports and arts. A former national first-class badminton athlete, she continues to enjoy badminton and swimming as favorite pastimes. Her love for the arts is equally profound, with Monet, Mu Xin, Bei Dao, and Hai Zi among her favorite artists and writers.
