Max Yan is a first-year medical student at McGill University with a strong commitment to education and community health. As the Program Director and Head Coach of the HOSA program at the Centre for New Immigrant Well-Being (CNIW), Max leads initiatives to empower high school and university students through health care skill competitions. He has successfully organized training materials, conducted workshops, and prepared students for national-level contests in fields such as medical laboratory science, nursing, and physical therapy.

In addition to his work with HOSA, Max served as the Director of CNIW's summer program, creating tailored medical English courses and workshops for seniors and new immigrants. These programs not only taught participants how to effectively express their health concerns but also helped them navigate the Canadian healthcare system with confidence.

Max’s dedication to education, mentorship, and health advocacy is evident in every role he undertakes. With a passion for bridging gaps in healthcare access and education, Max continues to drive impactful programs that benefit diverse communities.
