Dr. Qi Wang, Ph.D.
Scientist | Cancer Researcher | Advocate for Translational Medicine
Dr. Qi Wang is a distinguished scientist and researcher with a focus on translational medicine and cancer pharmacogenetics. Currently, he holds multiple prominent roles, including Scientist at the University of Toronto’s University Health Network, Director at Bossun Health in Canada, and MedU Life Science in Switzerland, and Adjunct Professor at The Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University.
With a robust academic foundation, Dr. Wang earned his Ph.D. from Fudan University’s School of Public Health, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship in Applied Molecular Oncology at Princess Margaret Hospital, University of Toronto. His research spans cancer survivorship, molecular and pharmacogenetic epidemiology, and innovative methods for integrating patient-reported outcomes into clinical studies. Dr. Wang has contributed to large-scale molecular epidemiological studies across various cancers, including head and neck, lung, and gastrointestinal cancers, and his work has had a transformative impact on understanding cancer outcomes.
Recognized as a Young Scientist in Molecular Genomics by Princess Margaret Hospital and Cancer Care Ontario, Dr. Wang is a leader in advancing knowledge translation in pharmacogenetics. Outside of his professional pursuits, he enjoys outdoor sports, running, and spending time with his family, though he admits driving is not his favorite activity.
