Sam Xiaoming Wang-Centre for New Immigrant Well-Being (CNIW)

Sam Xiaoming Wang (王晓鸣,Left) graduated from Zhejiang University in 1982, specializing in radio technology, and began his career at the Xi’an Satellite Control Center and China Unicom. In 1998, he immigrated to Canada and has since built a successful career in telecommunications, joining AT&T Canada in 1999, where he continues to work. Beyond his professional pursuits, Sam is deeply committed to community service. He served as President of the Zhejiang University Alumni Association in Canada and currently holds leadership roles as Vice Chairman of the Canada-China Economic, Trade and Cultural Exchange Promotion Alliance and Executive Chairman of the Canadian Zhejiang Chamber of Commerce.For over 20 years, Sam has actively supported new immigrants, helping them integrate, build networks, and access business opportunities. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he played a crucial role in fundraising for personal protective equipment and supporting online seminars. In 2020, he was honored with the 15 Years Volunteer Service Award from the Government of Ontario.
